GACGLV adds Tracking Dog Urban Test

Gamblers Agility Club of Greater Las Vegas is pleased to announce that they will be offering their first Tracking Dog Urban Test on February 28, 2021 on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Entry information can be found here.

What is Tracking? Tracking is a non-competitive dog sport that demonstrates a dog’s natural ability to recognize and follow scent. Tracking is the foundation of canine search and rescue work, but it’s also an enjoyable sport to companion dogs and their human partners as well. There are several organizations that hold Tracking competitions. GACGLV has been sanctioned by the American Kennel Club to hold tracking events.

What is Tracking Dog Urban? TDU tests are designed to gauge the dog’s ability to follow a track laid by a person under a variety of scenting conditions in an urban environment and to find the articles dropped by that person.
